Judean Hills Region

Lying west of Jerusalem, the Judean Hills wine region is characterized by its warm days and cooler nights. Soils are stony and limey. Vineyards for wineries in other regions are often found here because of the excellent growing conditions.

The Tzora Winery is one of the most well-known wineries in Israel. Considered part of the third wave of Israeli wineries, Tzora is located on the grounds of Kibbutz Tzora, but it is independently owned. The winery’s current owners have been producing high-caliber wines since 2008, and now produces about 80,000 bottles each year. We recommend the Misty Hills 2009 cabernet sauvignon-syrah blend. The winery produces about 80,000 bottles of wine each year.

Visitors will enjoy the lushly landscaped grounds of the winery and a glimpse of nearby kibbutz life.
